Dancing With The Stars alum Cheryl Burke danced with dozens of men on the show. But there are two who shockingly stood out from the rest: Rob Kardashian and Jack Osbourne.
The dancer revealed on a recent episode of her Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans podcast that she “had the most fun” with those two stars. “I was shockingly surprised, I guess. I didn’t expect to have such a great season like I did,” she said.
While admitting that her expectations weren’t “very high” going into those seasons, she said, “It’s shocking at the end how far we got.”
Burke made it all the way to second place with Kardashian in Season 13, and third place with Osbourne in Season 17.
She continued, “Their reputations, my judgment of these two people, Jack and Rob, they were, in a way, spoiled brats when I witnessed them on MTV, and witnessed Rob on The Kardashians when he was younger. But these two men, they’re totally not what you would expect… I just love the fact that we got along, and they didn’t take themselves too seriously.”
Burke credited their success to both Osbourne and Kardashian’s experience on reality television. Kardashian, of course, grew up in front of the camera on Keeping Up With The Kardashians from 2007 to 2021.
Osbourne’s family also appeared with his famous parents, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, in the short-lived MTV reality show The Osbournes.
“I tend to like, and I tend to gravitate and enjoy my seasons when it’s with a reality star or an athlete, but mainly a reality star,” Burke explained.
She said reality stars are “so used to cameras in their face that they don’t try and be another person. They are just who they are because cameras don’t faze them… The fact that people were betting against us and we made it to the finals is pretty spectacular.”
“Both of those partnerships are memories that I will take with me and cherish forever,” she said.
Burke joined the cast in Season 2, when she quickly won the coveted Mirrorball trophy with partner Drew Lachey.
The professional dancer ultimately exited the series in 2022 after Season 31.
