‘Southern Charm’ Star Madison LeCroy Tearfully Opens Up About Husband Brett Randle’s Cancer Diagnosis: “It’s Just Scary”

Our hearts are going out to Madison LeCroy and her family. In tonight’s episode of Southern Charm, LeCroy reveals that her husband, Brett Randle, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last year.

LeCroy, who married Randle in November 2022, shares the shocking update in her confessional interview.

“Unfortunately, Brett was diagnosed with thyroid cancer toward the end of last year, around our one-year wedding anniversary,” she says as she begins to tear up. “I thought, like, how? Like, I’m finally happy and it’s just scary.”

Doctors were able to remove a “three-centimeter nodule” from Randle. “So, the cancer is gone, but now he’s having complications. So, I feel like we can’t catch a fucking break,” LeCroy adds.

As they make breakfast for LeCroy’s 12-year-old son Hudson, Brett says he has to see a specialist and potentially go to therapy for a “sharp” pain in his throat. He tells his wife that it feels like there’s a “marble stuck” in his throat.

“I told Hudson that Brett was sick but I didn’t go into detail about what cancer can do to someone. I try not to let Hudson see me emotional because I have to be strong for my family,” LeCroy bravely tells the cameras.

The reality star met Randle in April 2021 when they were both on separate trips with friends in Arizona. Soon after, Randle flew from his home in California to LeCroy’s home in South Carolina to take her on a date. With the help of Hudson, Randle popped the question six months later — and one year after that, they tied the knot in Mexico, per People.

LeCroy, who joined Southern Charm in Season 6, also says that their plans to expand their family are currently on the back burner as Randle focuses on his health.

“Some days I just want to scream. It can be anything that triggers me, whether that be someone saying, like, ‘When are you having a child?’” she explains in tonight’s episode. “We were just kind of starting to plan but that’s on pause for now.”

Southern Charm airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
